Lacey and her younger sister, Emma, have had a rough few weeks. When they find themselves thrust into a world filled with magic, Lacey feels like things couldn't possibly get any weirder. But when an odd mutation is added to the mix, she realizes that everyone seems to suddenly be hiding something from her.
It doesn't help that, since landing in this world, Lacey has been having nightmares that are far too real for comfort. With all the secrets and lies around her, there is almost no one left Lacey can trust. Then she befriends Bella, loathed world wide for reasons Lacey doesn't know, who might be the only one willing to tell her what everyone else has been hiding.
